Talladega AL Child Support and Social Service Office enhances the well being of children by locating noncustodial parents, establish paternity, establish and enforce support orders, modify orders when appropriate, collect and distribute child support payments, and refer parents to other social service programs. These programs promote parent accountability, self sufficiency and reduce the public’s responsibility for providing financial and medical support to children.

If you have not received child support for your son and are now living in Texas, you can request to have your child support case transferred to the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s Child Support Division. This process is called an “interstate case transfer” or an “ICM” (Interstate Case Management).
To initiate the transfer process, you should contact the child support agency in the state where the support order was originally issued and provide them with your new address in Texas. They will then forward your case information to the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s Child Support Division.
Once the transfer is complete, the Texas office will become responsible for enforcing the child support order and collecting payments on behalf of your son. You can contact the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s Child Support Division at (800) 252-8014 for more information on how to initiate the transfer process.
