My ex husband’s employer is taking the child support out of his check, but not turning it into domestics.

Q) My ex husband’s employer is taking the child support out of his check, but not turning it into domestics. It has been happening for over 2 years. Every time the county office contacts him, he sends in a small check. He is currently in arrears for over $2,400. He had an enforcement conference and played dumb saying he didn’t know how to do it and would fix it all. It is now almost 2 months later and still no support. What can I do??? I keep calling and emailing my case worker and am getting no reply or help. WHAT CAN I DO???????????? This employer should be in jail if you ask me.

A) In your case you need the assistance of an attorney that focus on child support cases. You need child support payments that are in arrears and the consistency of you child’s father child support obligation. Please seek the service of a Child Support Lawyer.

Child Support Repayment.
Once child support arrears are established, the question becomes how to pay them back. State law may allow the custodial parent or child support enforcement agency to seize the noncustodial parent’s assets to apply against the arrears. … This extra payment continues until the arrears balance is paid in full.
