Montgomery AL Child Support and Social Service Office enhances the well being of children by locating noncustodial parents, establish paternity, establish and enforce support orders, modify orders when appropriate, collect and distribute child support payments, and refer parents to other social service programs. These programs promote parent accountability, self sufficiency and reduce the public’s responsibility for providing financial and medical support to children.

Here are some additional tips for getting help with child support:
Be prepared to provide the following information when you contact the child support office:
The father’s name, Social Security number, and date of birth
The children’s names, birthdates, and Social Security numbers
The address where the father lives or works
Any other information you have about the father’s income or assets
Be persistent. It may take some time to get the father to pay child support, but don’t give up.
