A) If you believe the amount of child support you are paying is too high and is making it difficult for you to make ends meet, you can take the following steps to address the issue:
- Contact the Child Support Enforcement Division: Explain your situation and request a review of your child support payments. They may be able to modify the payment amount based on your current financial situation.
- Seek Legal Advice: You may want to consult with an attorney who can help you navigate the process of modifying your child support payments.
- File a Motion to Modify: If you have a court order for child support, you may need to file a Motion to Modify with the court to have the child support order changed.
It is important to take action as soon as possible to address the issue and ensure that you are paying a fair and manageable amount for child support.
