There are two ways to open a new child support case in Atlanta, Michigan:
Online: You can apply online with MiChildSupport. This is the quickest and easiest way to apply.
In person: You can also apply in person at your local Friend of the Court office. The Friend of the Court is the court system’s child support enforcement agency.
To apply online, you will need to have the following information:
Your name and contact information
Your child’s name and date of birth
The other parent’s name and contact information
Your child’s Social Security number (if they have one)
To apply in person, you will need to bring the following information with you:
A copy of your child’s birth certificate
A copy of your child’s Social Security card (if they have one)
Your driver’s license or state ID

A copy of your child care provider’s statement
A copy of your child’s medical bills
Once you have applied for child support, the Friend of the Court will:
