Tell Us Your Experience At Your Local Child Support Office

I had several support orders issued from Family Court since Jan. 2018. The support unit did not follow the Judge’s orders at all. They had to amend their withholding several times. They continuously took more then the order specified and refused to return the over payments. My last amended order had ordered my rears in $50 payments every two weeks from my payroll and the support unit ignored the Judge’s order and executed an immediate collection they called it and took over $800 over the ordered support. Every time I contact the collection unit they basically tell me that there is no way for me to have the over payments returned to me and that I basically have to deal with their incompetence no matter what the Judge orders. I have worked for the County Of Orange for 20 years and I cannot believe this agency can operate without any recourse for their inability to perform their jobs. The only people that suffer are the parents that actually work and pay their child support and work hard for a living. These people could care less because the money isn’t coming out of their paychecks and they aren’t being held hostage by an agency that does what ever they feel like doing and they don not have to do their jobs correctly to remain employed!!!! It’s outrageous….
