Tell Us Your Experience At Your Local Child Support Office

I don’t know where to start with the dissatisfaction and lack of progress with my case. It’s been two years since my ex husband was found in contempt of court for not paying child support. Has he received any type of repercussion? NO Nothing. As a matter of fact, the contempt was just dropped for lack of progress.
My worker continues to pressure me to “close my case” when she really hasnt done anything. Out of the last 12 court hearings, shes shown up to less than 6. I’m the one that sends her emails on information to follow up. She needs to be proded to do anything for my case. It really seems like she works to get my ex husband all the leaniancy she can. But all she does for me is to mention closing the case, like it’s some form of showing her “success”.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this office is a joke. St Louis county has millions in uncollected support simply because this office can’t or won’t do their job.
