Tampa FL Child Support and Social Service Office enhances the well being of children by locating noncustodial parents, establish paternity, establish and enforce support orders, modify orders when appropriate, collect and distribute child support payments, and refer parents to other social service programs. These programs promote parent accountability, self sufficiency and reduce the public’s responsibility for providing financial and medical support to children.

My experience at Tampa FL Child Support office -Anon: My experience wasn’t good at all. I waited all that time when I should have been able to just called the office directly. The 800 number doesn’t allow to you to speak with a live person………
My experience at Tampa FL Child Support office – Perez: I get served to pay child support (was not sure the child was mine and neither was she) and promptly PAID IN FULL $12,717 and yet they start garnishment and I cant get a hold of anyone to stop it! You make it really easy to start the process.. all online yet when it comes time to stop… FORGET IT!
My experience at Tampa FL Child Support office – Linda: You people need a local number! The toll free gives you no option to talk to anyone. Just repeats same stupid options. Need to be able to talk to LIVE PERSON!!! RIDICULOUS! !!
My experience at Tampa FL Child Support office – Ashley: you can’t speak to a live person with the 800- number they provide, its a complete hassle trying find someone to speak with. I just have simple questions about my case and there doesn’t seem to be anyone who can help me…..
My experience at Tampa FL Child Support office – Tami: Calling the 800# is a total waste of time and useless. You get automated info only on information that you can clearly get online or even with Google. No option to speak to anyone. If you guys wanted it that way you should’ve allowed people to still log on to their case after its closed to get information…..
I understand your concerns, and it’s true that the processes related to child support and custody can be emotionally charged and complex. Laws and regulations regarding child support vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and the legal system is designed to balance the interests of all parties involved, including the children.
While it might seem frustrating that someone can file a child support claim without immediate proof, it’s important to note that the legal system aims to ensure financial support for children and to establish responsibilities for both parents. Establishing paternity through DNA testing is a common method used to determine biological parentage and ensure that support is provided to the appropriate individuals.
If you believe you are facing an unjust situation or have concerns about a child support claim, it’s advisable to consult with a family law attorney who can guide you through the legal process in your jurisdiction. They can help you understand your rights and options, and potentially assist in gathering evidence or challenging claims that you believe are inaccurate. It’s crucial to address these matters through the legal system to ensure fairness and protect the rights of everyone involved.
