Devils Lake ND Child Support and Social Service Office enhances the well being of children by locating noncustodial parents, establish paternity, establish and enforce support orders, modify orders when appropriate, collect and distribute child support payments, and refer parents to other social service programs. These programs promote parent accountability, self sufficiency and reduce the public’s responsibility for providing financial and medical support to children.

According to Section 51.70(a)(8) of Title 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) can be informed about the existence of satisfactory payment arrangements made with Lake Region Child Support for individuals who owe more than $2,500 in outstanding child support. As long as you have made an acceptable payment arrangement with Lake Region and are paying your monthly obligation and additional payment towards your principal balance, it is possible for HHS to be informed of this arrangement. However, it’s best to verify this with your local child support agency or a government official to ensure that you meet the requirements and to make sure your information is accurate.
