My experience at Panama City FL Child Support office: Broke, Tired, & Frustrated

Your Experience: I have been to this office on four different occasions for two different cases. Each time I am given the “necessary” paperwork and sent on my way, only to receive a little a week or two later saying that they need MORE paperwork done. So back down I go, missing more time off work because nothing can be done over the phone or through fax, only to fill out what they tell me is “the rest” of the paperwork. And a week later – Boom – another letter stating they don’t have paperwork and it turned out to be the SAME PAPERS I had filled out! At this point my employer is less than pleased with how long I have to be gone for these appointments. At my last one, they said Ok you’re all set, we’ll let you know when everything has gone through. And guess what I got? Another letter for more paperwork. I couldn’t take time off for another appointment and so I have received another letter threatening to close my case. Coming from another state, I am so displeased with how these things have been handled. For working mothers who are getting no assistance from their child’s father – which is why we need help from this office in the first place – there needs to be options to file paperwork online or over fax at least.
